Telephone Books
A variety of phone directories exist on-line. Switchboard includes both white and yellow page lookups. The GTE Superpages site includes the option to search 'nationwide' instead of just by state. At WhitePages.com you can search U. S. white pages or search by phone number. Another reverse directory is available on-line called 555-1212. AnyWho advertises itself as a directory for phone, e-mail, home pages and fax numbers. It also features a reverse look-up capability.

Company Information

Annual reports are one source for finding information on an individual company. Click on the file cabinet (above) to see a list of what we have in-house. Annual reports can also be ordered on-line from the Public Registry Annual Report System, if you can't find the report on-line or at the company's own website.Keep in mind there is no standard for reporting information, i.e. they can include whatever facts make their companies look good to their shareholders. Sometimes they include financial tables though, which compare statistics over a five to ten year period which can be helpful.

The Securities and Exchange Commission requires publically traded companies to publish financial information about themselves to their investors. These quarterly and annual reports, 10-Ks and 10-Qs, are a more accurate view of corporate finances than annual reports.
